Calling all Boys & Girls, U9s and up

Sydney Junior Rugby Union are running the Spring 7s again in Term 4 with the Girls competition played on Saturdays (in line with the previous editions of “Sizzling 7s” and “Frosty 7s”) and the Boys competition on Sundays.

Boys Spring 7s will start on Sunday 25/10 running for 6 weekends until Sunday 29/11 at either Keirle Park, Manly or Pittwater Park, Narrabeen. We will be looking to do a non-compulsory information and training session for an hour at Beauchamp at either 3pm Sunday 18/10 or at some stage during the week (I will confirm shortly).

For the boys, Chatswood will be running 2 Teams in U10s, 1 in U12s and 1 in U16s.

The U10s and U12s will be playing half fields with U16s on full field. Each team will be permitted to have up to 12 players on their sign on sheets per match. All games will play 7 minute halves and 1 minute half time and be scheduled for 20min turn arounds. The draw hasn’t been finalised but the likely structure is as follows:

Under 10s 2pm – 3pm
Under 12s 3pm – 4.30pm
Under 14s 4.30pm – 6:00pm
Under 16s 6:00pm – 7:15pm

Registration
Rego is $47.75. To register, you need to use the same Rugby ID through Rugby Xplorer that your child was registered with during the normal season. Register as normal, under registration type, choose “Championship 7s” and then later on there will be a section called “Saleable Items”. You will need to amend the quantity to 1 for the $11.00 item (and leave the other item at the default quantity of 0).
